Buffet in Hotel Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila

We went to Hotel Sofitel for dinner buffet after our visit to Rizal Park. Ada had tried them before and liked it. It isn't easy to pass her taste test. This time, she was slightly less impressed. Still, the food choices were reasonably large, and the standard was quite nice (for Manila, which isn't known as a food capital of Asia).

My less critical side (that is, less critical about food and more critical about me) reminded me that there're many starving children in the Philippines right now. It's at epidemic reaching the sub-Saharan level. Let's hope the Pope's lifting of ban on the use of condom would slow down the population growth and speed up GDP growth in this country. However, the approval of condom use only applies to such thing as prevention of HIV or Zika virus. So no help there.

While I'm not a big fan of commercialized Xmas vibe, I have to say they did a good job of it. After all, this is the Philippines, the 3rd largest catholic country in the world (after Brazil and México).

Does a quartet of Misses Claus add elegance to the staircase?

Why there's always one person who closes her eye? Maybe I should do count down...I thought I did
