Jeppe Hein Social Benches at Raffles Place

Singapore is full of hidden little gems. Some are hidden from plain sight.

While you're walking around Raffle's Place - especially in the area that I marked as Jeppe Hein Zone - admiring the view of the Bay, you may come across some odd looking public benches.

You will find all the benches in the zone

While you're busily looking across the Bay, you can easily overlook this odd looking public benches that may be just locating next to you. An example of the odd looking bench would look something like this.

If you have a closer look at the metal plaque at the top right corner of the bench, you'll realise this is just one of the 10 Modified Social Benches created by Jeppe Hein, who's the Danish artist who created these unusual benches.

The rest of the other 9 Modified Social Benches are scattered nearby and within the Jeppe Hein Zone that I indicated above. Keep an eye out for them, or have fun locating all 10 of them.

Here are a few more for clues.

Yes, people actually use them. And it provides you with some fun photo or instagram moments. Exercise your imagination on how they could be used.

No. This isn't not a Jeppe Hein bench. Just a regular bench that's place here
to test you or confuse you

Some of benches look like they need a coat of fresh paint. More of Jeppe Hein benches could be found here.
